Our staff are specialists in many different aspects of Italian Studies, and research can be supervised in more areas than is usual in traditional Italian departments. Areas of special interest are: Film Studies and History of the Italian Cinema; Italian Social and Cultural History in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries; Italian Literature: Particularly Dante and his Age; The Renaissance; The Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries: Especially Futurism, Fiction, Critical Theory; Women's Studies; Computer Applications.
