Entry Requirements
Academic entry requirements are set by the University of Reading. You should have: A good first degree or a professional qualification of equivalent standing. The suitability of each candidate's qualifications will be decided at the discretion of the Course Director. No exemptions are given for prior learning. For postgraduate courses, you require one of the following: Grade B or above in English Language/Literature at GCSE or its equivalent; Grade 6.0 or above, with at least 6.5 in the reading and writing modules, in the (IELTS) or 570 (TOEFL). Note: in all cases, if your post compulsory school leaving age (further education) qualifications have been taught and examined in the English language you can be considered for entry in the absence of the qualifications detailed above.
